Haverford Township Commissioner Candidates’ Forum
Tuesday, May 5th, 2009
7:30 PM
Lynnewood School Auditorium
The Haverford Township League of Women Voters is pleased to sponsor a public forum for candidates who will compete in the May 19th Primary Election to win their party’s nomination to run for Township Commissioner in the 4th and 6th wards respectively. Elizabeth Hurtubise and John Williamson will appear as the potential Republican nominees in the 4th Ward. Ronald W. O'Connor Jr. and Jonathan Calpas will appear as the potential Republican nominees in the 6th Ward. There is no contest on the Democratic ticket in either ward.
Although the candidates in question are running to win the Republican nomination as candidates for Commissioners in their respective wards, they will undoubtedly discuss issues that concern the entire Township. Therefore the League of Women Voters encourages all civic-minded township residents to attend this free public forum. In addition to opening and closing presentations from the candidates, the forum will allow time for questions from the audience.
